This app has gotten too complicated. It’s slow and sluggish and really crappy layout. It jumps all over the place it’s covered itself with ads and pop-ups. But mainly the organization of the website itself is just terrible. I don’t know what they were thinking. I don’t know how they would make money. They are certainly headed for the toilet. I’ve been using it for more than 10 years and it’s just gotten worse. It could be so simple. There’s so many other apps that are better, Adam has just become a waste of time. Sorry to see you go
First; I’m using it for free, so I can’t complain, & I don’t know if the experience is the same for paid members. That being said, I joined many years ago, & then deleted the app after about 10 years. After a friend recently encouraged me to get back on dating apps to improve my chances of finding a mate, I’d forgotten why I deleted Adam4Adam & reinstalled it. ‘Didn’t take long for me to remember, most of the “guys” sending “winks” are not real people - maybe 1 out of 30 are real. Why so many fake profiles (usually created within a day), I don’t really know. Some are in areas or situations pointing to a desperate need to get out of their situation, & others are simply robots phishing for information. But, since there are so many of them, & each time you click on the messages, ads pop up, I’m inclined to believe it’s Adam4Adam doing this to increase chances of us clicking on the ads, or to up their activity count to impress invested advertisers & to make us users think it’s a happening app. Either way, as others have mentioned, there are rare occasions a real person, who has actually read & understood our profile that we’ve taken time to craft & is actually looking for a match. There are still those who just wanna get off & don’t care who they do it with (which is fine for some). That’s still better then all the frickin’ fake ones taking up time & effort every day (yes, every frickin’ day).
I've emailed the help contact 5 times after being suspended upon sign up I have not received an email back and I cannot even delete my account because as I said Im suspended.
Its completely FAKE and the administrators have set it up to have computer generated autobot profiles with fake pics stolen off of websites like twitter. The only real profiles are all the fat lonely old white men on there LOL
Lots of fake profiles. I got more messages from fake profiles than bona fide users. These are guys who claim to be native English speakers in the UK/US but are clearly are struggling with the language and very insistent that they move the conversation off the platform and get your personal details. The website looks like it was designed in the 1990's and the app looks like the website. Why are all these dating sites so lame now? Lots of NSFW advertising. Spammy emails and notifications that you can't turn off.
I get 10 smiles a day from fake profiles. The descriptions are all written alike and not anything like normal people would ever say. It’s hardly worth even going on the site anymore because it seems like the majority of profiles are fake There are some on other sites but Adam is the worst. It’s constant day after day. Clearly they are not manually reviewing profiles when they’re set up. If they read them they would know immediately they’re fake
The site format was changed and it's a disaster. Why did they mess with it? It was just fine.
After many years as a subscribing member of A4A, a message appeared on my account that I had been "marked as scammer" with no explanation of why and no opportunity to defend myself. My account is blocked and I am unable to read or reply to messages in my history even though I am still paying for service. In the last 3 days, I have written 3 messages asking for information and restoration of my access but have received no response. I have been advised that I "have been suspended on Zendesk" and to contact their support. That's where I sent the messages. I tried to call a number I found listed for Zendesk but a recorded message stated their receptionists are not available at this time. This is a supremely poor way to treat a long-term paying customer. I would like to have my access restored.
Pathetic website. Full of fake profiles. All they have to do is make location mandatory, require authentication and review profiles. When I report a fake profile they never block it.
Site Has Gotten Worse In The Last Few Months
Fakes, scammers and major fat overweight real people. This site is not even amusing and certainly would never meet anyone from this site. However, it is fun to play along with the Russians. I did it for months and when it came to money, I simply said under not circumstances would I ever send anyone money. And poof....they were gone.
Drugs, Prostitution , Married Men , Open Relationships , the site has gone to the dogs , the pathetic people from "craiglist" have integrated on there , I cannot believe that ADAM4ADAM encourages "party and Play" in a category in which you can check , when I say "Party and play , its usually an illegal substance , I wish congress ( like they did with Craigslist ) shut them down , it's and STD / HIV /Hep C breeding ground . BEWARE !
There are far too many fake or bogus profiles. Too many people are from the same city. Profiles aren't checked for authenticity.
Total scam website that just takes your info
This site used to be good years ago but now it's nothing but a scam. Every single time I try to sign up, you enter all your info, it has you upload photos, agree to their terms, and when clicking next, it immediately says "You have been signed out." You get no email from them, you try to log in and it says no such user. You try to make a new account and it says that username is already in use. A few months ago I did manage to get an account created but the site was completely unusable, and that's not even due to the fact there were no guys online. When you're on your laptop, Chrome asks if you want to share your location with the site. I say no, as I use it when at work or my cottage, but am looking to hook up at my house in another city. Therefore, I don't want it showing my location as my work or cottage as I'm not looking to meet guys there. EVERY single page you click on it pops up saying "you have denied sharing your location, please turn on your location yadda yadda." EVERY. SINGLE. PAGE. Click 5 profiles, you get that popup 5 separate times making it absolutely unusable. I live in a very large city with more than 15m people and when I did get a chance to use this site there were maybe 10 guys online. When you get messages, all it is is a 🙂 emoji. Apparently that's like sending a tap on Grindr, except it is just a smiley emoji so it looks like people are just sending you emojis all day. This is yet another one of those sites that was decent years ago, but has been made completely obsolete by Grindr and other hook up smartphone apps.
Worst dating/ hook up site out there. Site full of fake profiles and scammers
