LOS ANGELES โ OnlyFans CEO Keily Blair spoke Thursday at the Bloomberg Screentime conference in Los Angeles, confirming the platformโs commitment to adult creators and stating there were no plans to raise money through an IPO.
โEveryone assumes itโs sexy content,โ Blair told the audience, according to a Variety report. โSome of it is sexy content โ and weโre very happy with that, weโre an inclusive platform, and weโre that way for a reason. We believe itโs very important for adult content creators to have a safe space, to be able to monetize and also to be able to do that alongside other content creators. Weโre all adults, weโre all grownups, we can all choose what content we subscribe to.โ
Blair spoke alongside comedian Whitney Cummings, who offers non-explicit content through OnlyFans and has been an outspoken mainstream champion for the platform and SFW side project OFTV.
Cummings stressed that comedians can also benefit from OnlyFansโ open-minded approach to sexual content.
โI like the idea of, โLet me go to this place thatโs a little taboo,โ whereโs not as much censorship, where I can recreate the environment of an actual comedy-club vibe,โ Cummings noted,
Dispelling chatter about the company growing via an IPO, Blair said the extremely profitable OnlyFans โdefinitelyโ does not need to raise capital by going public, adding that the move may โsully its business model by having to cater to shareholders instead of being entirely focused on creators and their success,โ Variety reported.
