MONTREAL — Pornhub will be launching in the next few weeks a new tagging system called Collaborators, which will send requests to verified models who appear in creator content to confirm their consent. 

The Collaborators system was announced through Pornhub models blog on Thursday.

The new system, a rep explained, will provide creators “with a streamlined experience that is more in line with processes they may be familiar with on other content monetization platforms. We’ve tested the prototype with a few models to validate that the tool meets your specific needs, is functional and easy-to-use while adhering to our compliance standards.

New videos uploaded as of Sept. 3 and going forward will only get published if IDs and proof of consent have been submitted and approved for all co-performers featured in the content.

Creators are encouraged to immediately upload a Release Form for all co-performers for which they do not already have one on file, or else have them complete the process digitally using eSignature. Missing either IDs or proof of consent will delay new video releases in September and can affect monthly payouts.

Providing both ID and Release Forms became mandatory for all new co-performers appearing in new content as of Jan. 23. As of Sept. 3, this requirement will be extended to all existing co-performers when they appear in new videos.

“As industry leaders, we consistently update our Trust and Safety Policies to protect you, your content, and our community,” Pornhub explained through a statement. “We hope that the new tagging system will help speed up our co-performer verification and video approval processes.”
